Forbes magazine recently did a piece on the World's best casinos. Many of the casinos may be completely new to you. There are quite a few surprising entries, but one of the biggest is the Casino Metropol in Moscow, Russia. 

It always surprises me the number of casinos in Moscow. The reason the Casino Metropol stands out is the sheer luxury of the place. It's a 24-hour gambling establishment. In comparison with the rest of the Forbes list it is a very small casino. It only has 11 tables.  If you're used to just a small local casino or just playing on a free online roulette game on the internet, then this is truly a world away.
Don't worry though they still have all the main casino favorite games. They will offer blackjack, roulette, in addition to poker. By using simply eleven tables they really can't offer much more than that. Still, it's enough to get your gambling on. Along with, with a twenty-five $ minimum stake, you probably won't do that much gambling anyway. 
Like mentioned previously, the Casino Metropol is actually part of the famous Hotel Metropol. This hotel has some history. It was originally developed from 1899 to 1907. It is a very good looking building that is worth visiting for only its looks. Also, it is located within minutes of some of the most famous places in Moscow.
It is not a large hotel but does have about 365 rooms all told. The distinctive thing about the hotel is that each of the rooms is different. They are all shaped differently from each other, and are also decorated in unique ways. This is very different from many other hotels. Most hotels will certainly have rooms that look exactly like each other. 
The building was financed by Savva Mamontov. and designed by the famous architect William Walcot. Walcot was an architect from Great britain. Eventually, he would be known as one of the greatest architectural draftsmen in London. However, his most well-known work is the Casino Metropol. 
So, if you are visiting Moscow and need a place to gamble, then this casino will fit the bill. Alternatively, Moscow is quite a difficult place to travel to simply to visit a casino.What you have to realize is that this is a very small casino. 11 tables is an incredibly small amount of tables. The Borgota, another world renowned casino, has 85 poker tables. That's 8 times more tables reserved for a single game than the Metropol has in total. It's definitely not being critical, just to understand the scale of this casino.
While this is very high quality, you should understand that this isn't really a place to visit if you are only coming for the casino. It just isn't big enough to jusify a trip on it's own. Nevertheless, in the event that you are serious about visiting all of the best casinos in the world, then you will have to make a stop at the Casino Metropol. Forbes publication may have shined a little more light onto a casino that has hidden within a hotel. The Casino Metropol is now being searched for more and more on the internet. In the event that it starts getting more popular, then they might have to squeeze in a couple tables to accommodate all the new guests.
